Monthly Golf Course Update – June 2023

Please see below for what’s been happening at Bingara Gorge Golf Course during June.

As we move into the cooler months you would have noticed the browning of the fairways. This is the normal process of the couch grass becoming dormant through the winter.

This does, of course, allow us all to get a few extra meters on our drive so remember that when the water is in play!

EMP Management

Metro have engaged specialists to perform certain work in line with the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of the estate.

Certain works have begun, and some weed spraying has been undertaken which can be identified through the red dye used in the mix as shown in the images to the right.

Please be aware these areas and dye do not pertain to the golf course or its play.

Sand Buckets

A reminder to all to please carry a sand bucket and fill in your divots.
This is particularly important at this time of year given the dormant nature of the fairways as previously described.

Cart Registrations Coming Up

Personal cart registrations will be due 1 July 2023 at $160 per cart. A reminder that a condition of entry to the course is the cart must also be registered with Service NSW. The team will be checking your rego status with you at the time of paying your cart fee.

Reach out to the team in the pro shop on 4630 8500 Option 1 if you have any questions.

Vandalism

Unfortunately, the course has been subject to vandalism over the last month.
A car gaining access to the 7th hole and driving across the green.
The locks have been replaced on the gates and subsequent attempts to gain access have been made.
If you see anything suspicious, please notify security.
